The Doylestown Symphonic Winds is the premier wind ensemble in Bucks County. Founded in 2006 by Ed Protzman, the group is now under the baton of Gina Lenox. This 50-member ensemble performs a wide variety of wind band repertoire and enjoys performing new and challenging works that push the boundaries of what a traditional wind band is capable of.

Over the years, the group has continued to attract some of the best musicians in the Bucks/Montgomery/Philadelphia area and consists of current and former music educators, doctors, engineers and farmers. The group has had the honor of working with Philly Pops guest artists Matt Gallagher and Ron Kerber, and guest conductors Virginia Allen, Matthew Brunner, Jack Schmidt and William Stowman.

The Doylestown Symphonic Winds is a 501c3 non-profit organization and all players donate their time free of charge. The group offers annual scholarships to local high school musicians wishing to continue their music education. The group performs one to two concerts each year at Delaware Valley University and all performances are open to the public and include free admission.

We are honored to have been selected to perform at the 2023 PMEA State Conference. For more information about our group, artistic directors, past programs or to make a donation to the group, please visit us at doylestownsymphonicwinds.org.
